Warning to ALL BrightHouse High Speed Internet users who’ve received a Router from Brighthouse. Basic Security such as WEP or WPA are not being configured. Router default passwords are being left in leaving you completely vulnerable.
The default usernames and passwords are universally known. Anyone getting into your router OWNS your entire network. Your Internet, your Computers, are vulnerable to ANYTHING. Recently in Northeast St. Pete a man was arrested for using a network connection without the owner’s permission.
The Spammers, the Child Porn people, thieves all look for an UNSECURED wireless networks so they can’t be traced. You will be though. This is VERY IMPORTANT; Do Not Run a wireless router without the proper security settings in place. Your entire network is at risk…..
